The materials presented in this course are aimed at forming a system of knowledge about the theoretical and methodological foundations of higher education pedagogy in students of higher education. Peculiarities of the professional and pedagogical activity of a teacher of a higher school, the organization of the educational process in a higher education institution are provided. This takes place in the context of the ideas of humanitarianization, humanization, democratization on the basis of competence, anthropological, cultural, axiological, synergistic, and personal-activity approaches. Also, the course is aimed at acquiring soft skills, such as the ability to self-develop; the ability to generate new ideas (creativity); the ability to holistic, positive thinking; the ability to work in a team; the ability to prove knowledge and own conclusions to specialists and non-specialists through communication and analysis of the results of scientific research; the ability to manage work or learning processes that are complex, unpredictable and require new strategic approaches. This will enable the integration of knowledge and the solving of complex problems in broad or multidisciplinary contexts.
